Aline Zoldbrod, Ph.D., a Boston-based licensed psychologist, is certified as a sex therapist by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and the American Board of Sexology. She is professionally active in many sex therapy organizations

Beginning with the publication of Men, Women and Infertility in 1993, the high quality of Dr. Zoldbrod's writings on sexuality and sex therapy has been recognized by professional groups such as AASECT, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, RESOLVE and APA.

Her work has been recognized as an important component of the training of sex therapists nationally and internationally.

In 2003, Contemporary Sexuality, the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapist (AASECT)'s professional voice, published Dr. Zoldbrod's article on sexual development as part of their Updates of Clinical and Educational Sexology, " state-of-the-art education for AASECT members and other professionals."

Her article, "Assessing Intrapsychic Blocks to Sexual Pleasure Using the Milestones of Sexual Development Model" is based on her 1998 book SexSmart.

Dr. Zoldbrod is the author of three books about sexuality and relationships, including the award winning SexSmart: How Your Childhood Shaped Your Sexual Life and What to Do About It (New Harbinger,1998).

Besides being recommended by over a dozen of America's top sexologists, Sex Smart won Fore Word Magazine's award for being one of the top three self help books of 1998. It has been translated into Spanish and Turkish and is used in clinics, colleges and college counseling services in the US, Mexico, and Spain.

She has also authored Getting Around the Boulder in the Road: Using Imagery to Cope with Fertility Problems (Lexington, 1990) and Men, Women and Infertility: Intervention and Treatment Techniques (Lexington Books, 1993).

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Dr. Zoldbrod graduated from Oberlin College Phi Beta Kappa with High Honors in Sociology and Anthropology. She was awarded her doctorate from Brandeis University, after she won a special fellowship to pursue her doctoral research.
