Dr. Zoldbrod's Education and
Training
Dr. Zoldbrod's training has been extremely varied. She is certified
in EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, a treatment
for trauma. Her other training includes bioenergetics, hypnosis,
imagery, psycho-analytically oriented psychotherapy, and multi-modal
behavior therapy. She is known for being results-oriented and highly
active in each session of psychotherapy or sex therapy.
Dr. Zoldbrod did her undergraduate work at Oberlin College, where
she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with High Honors in Sociology and Anthropology.
She was awarded her doctorate from Brandeis University, where she
won a special fellowship to pursue her doctoral work.

with Other Areas of Expertise
Dr. Zoldbrod is a member of the American Psychological Association
and its many divisions, including the Division of Men and Masculinity,
The Division of the Psychology of Women, The Division of Family
Psychology, and the Division of Health Psychology.
She has lectured at conferences for professionals and consumers
from coast to coast in the US, Australia and Canada, over the last
two decades.
She has been a speaker on subjects covering love and marriage,
male/female communication patterns, the healing power of
touch and love, overcoming marital conflict, infertility and the
terrible impact of alcoholism, drug abuse, and emotional
and physical violence. She is an expert on gender role differences
in relationships.
Trauma
Dr. Zoldbrod is an expert in treating many types of trauma. She
is a member of the New England Society for the Study of Trauma and
Dissociation. In 2000, she presented her work on sexual development
and trauma to her colleagues at NESTTD.
